How It Works |
For the past few summers, I've hosted Discord Wars as a yearly event where subs battle it out to determine which team was the greatest of all time. But this year, I wanted to ask the question, which VIEWER is the greatest of all time?
That question will be answered in the team based, but ultimately individual competition that I'm calling The Pokemon Games. Here's how it works. There will be TWO phases, themed after becoming the Champion of Kanto! The Badge Phase Players will first choose to join one of three teams: Ash, Misty, or Brock. The first phase of The Pokemon Games will revolve around Players acquiring 8 badges to qualify for the Elite 4. There will be a total of 17 badges that players can choose from, with no stipulations on what badges they earn. Each badge has a set theme to them to encourage players to try different types of games. To earn a badge simply complete ONE of the tasks under each badge. For example Community Events that happen off stream will revolve around the Cascade + Hive Badges. The Team who has the HIGHEST % of members who complete at least 8 badges, will receive a HUGE advantage in the 2nd phase. They will also get to pick a game that I stream as an incentive. So you're going to want to do all you can to assist your teammates in completing their quest to become a Pokemon Champion. Now once you've acquired 8 badges, there is still more to do if you are willing. While there is a Team Component, the overall competition will still be an individual one. The top 10 players who complete the most tasks during the event will receive a MAJOR Advantage in the 2nd phase. Along with some cool prizes. A task is any individual thing you do to earn a badge. So for example, If you were to complete all tasks under the Zephyr badge, that would net you 4 points/tasks done. The 10 individuals who net the most will receive this advantage. This section is basically a more laid back version of Discord Wars. A lot of the tasks are not hard to complete, and we want to encourage people to play games and not feel too much pressure. Also a little different from Discord Wars, you can complete tasks with OTHER Teams. So if your buddy is on Team Ash, and you're on Team Misty, you're more than welcome to team up with them to get tasks done. Elite 4 (Battle Royale) So I've discussed a lot of the first phase, what is this second phase all about? After the two weeks, all those who have achieved 8 badges will compete in a week by week elimination of the Elite 4, until we've whittled it down to ONE WINNER. Each week, I'll announce a new challenge where the first X amount of players who complete the challenge will move on to the next round of the Elite 4. These are a COMPLETE SECRET, and only the other Game Masters (Myself, Seagnome, Sabby + Supreme) know what they are. That means the Mods who you have been competing with are just as in the dark and will have to adapt to win. We will narrow the list down to about 5-20 for the CHAMPION Week, where only One Winner will walk away with the title of "Pokemon Champion" The Winner will receive the following
